Troy sits right across the Hudson from our Watervliet base, over the Congress Street Bridge, and it has some of the most beautiful and most demanding houses in the Capital Region. Downtown, around Monument Square and along Second Street, Victorian brownstones and row houses keep their tall windows, carved woodwork, marble fireplaces and plaster ceilings. Up the hill near RPI, and downtown around Russell Sage College, older homes have been split into apartments shared by students and young professionals. Lansingburgh, at the north end of the city, is full of century-old houses on long blocks, while South Troy and Sycaway mix working-family homes with newer updates. WVF Cleaning Services Company, led by Walace Fernandes, cleans houses, apartments, offices and commercial spaces across all of it. Text us at (518) 720-2726 to tell us about your place.
Troy's historic housing stock is a big part of its charm, and it changes how a home should be cleaned. Ornate woodwork, ceiling medallions, stair balusters and wide window casings collect dust in every curve. Original hardwood floors and old tile need the right amount of moisture, not a soaking. Tall ceilings mean cobwebs and dust in corners most people never look at. Our deep cleaning is built for houses like these: we work from the high details down, wipe trim and doors by hand, detail radiators and baseboards, and finish with the floors. Bathrooms in older Troy homes often have clawfoot tubs, pedestal sinks and small hex tile, and grout and fixture detailing makes a visible difference there. Once the house is caught up, a standard cleaning on a regular schedule keeps it from sliding back.
With RPI, Russell Sage College and Hudson Valley Community College in the city, many Troy apartments are shared by students and roommates, and kitchens and bathrooms in those places need a real reset now and then. A deep cleaning handles that kind of buildup in a lived-in home, and landlords who keep shared hallways tidy can add those too. Downtown Troy also has a lively food and drink scene around River Street, Broadway and Fourth Street, and those restaurants and bars need dependable commercial cleaning: dining room floors, bar rails and stools, commercial kitchens and restrooms, the exact kind of work in our job photos. Small offices and studios in converted downtown buildings fit our office cleaning service. And with so many Troy houses being restored, post-construction cleaning removes the plaster dust and sanding residue that renovation leaves behind.
Our base on 24th Street in Watervliet is just across the river, so Troy is one of the closest cities we serve. That matters when you want a cleaner who knows the area and is not treating your neighborhood as a long-distance job. WVF is owner-led: Walace Fernandes is involved in the work and in the communication, so there is a real person behind every quote. We keep everything by text so you have it in writing. Send a message to (518) 720-2726 with your neighborhood (Downtown, Lansingburgh, South Troy, Sycaway or anywhere else in Troy), the type of space, the number of floors, bedrooms and bathrooms, and the service you want. Photos of the trickier rooms help a lot. We will reply with a clear quote and agree on a date with you.
